This is my second set of Skull Candy chops. I had to replace my first set after several seasons of abuse incurred while mountain biking. Eventually the wires broke down and I would lose sound on one side or the other. I'm surprised a $15 set of headphones stood up to that torture for so long.The sound quality is fine and most importantly they stay firmly in my ears while biking, running, working out, etc... I've tried many other options and these seem to be the winner for active users.

I should have known better than trust the reviews. Only one states the obvious so I'll be the second: It doesn't matter that they are cheap, fit well on your ear or any other upside you might find. The bottom line is, the sound quality is horrible! They sound incredibly thin and have literally no bass.Again, it shouldn't come as a surprise considering the price but the generally positive reviews swayed me.Lesson learned.

The sound in these is fine. They're somewhat comfortable but tend to start hurting my ear after prolonged use. My biggest problem is that the rubber rings securing the speakers to the earpieces constantly fall off and I have to put them back on. Several times all it's taken to cause it to fall off is me taking them out of my ears and the rubberbands go flying. If you buy this product, get some superglue and earbud cushions too.

I like the sound and they stay in place, but I use them while I run and they have begun to rust in the earpiece screen, which is metal.Update: 11-23-11It now has a rattle in the left ear. It will probably not make it through the winter. Can't complain too much based on how much I paid for it and how much I sweat into it. Sound is still great and I can hear around me when the volume is low.

At first these headphones were great. Comfortable, stay on securely which was great as I was primarily wearing these while I worked out. However I've had them just over a month and they already need to be replaced. I've never had to replace headphones this quickly before. Just a few days ago they were working fine, then the slightest movement of the cord would case the sound in the left ear to shut off completely and now any cord movement causes both sides to stop working. Very disappointed.
