Cooper makes innovative items, then discontinues them, so if you buy their products, say a complete remote lighting system and one device fails you can not replace it. I installed it according to the instructions in a location protected from the weather and sun. It quit working in less than 60 days.Update April/2011 in hindsight I may have over taxed the allowable wattagg of this unit. I wanted it to activate a six bay carport W/six 80 watt florescent lamps. When florescent lamp ballasts activate, they draw more current than the bulbs themselves and may have been why this unit quit, live and learn.

This little inexpensive device works great! It is exactly what I was looking for. The carport needed a means of turning on the lights by motion sensor at night but not in the daytime and this does the job. The nearest I could find in other products was a similar device for $86 compared to $18.75 for this one. It is easy to install and set up with clear directions.

I had this installed by a master electrician, he could not get it to work except on the test mode despite much trial, and I have had no better success after a week. Will have to replace it with a better quality device.
