This water based, 2 part epoxy provides the toughest garage floor protection in 1 coat. This epoxy is fortified with new heavy duty resin technology to provide superior durability. I bought this product and did my garage floor. I cleaned it the day before, let it dry overnight and painted it the following morning. It was easy, fun to do and looks great! Follow the DVD instructions and you can't go wrong. This product is worth every penny. One thing to pay attention to is the time when you mix the epoxy and paint as you have 2 1/2 hours from start to finish and then any leftover product needs to be discarded.
This was pretty much my first time doing a DIY project...and it went flawlessly!The DVD that comes with it is informative and makes it an easy process to follow....The kit itself is simple, and there are instructions on everything...Honestly, everything they tell you is accurate and my only complaint would be there is ALMOST not enough paint to do a one car garage. I say almost, because, there was enough, but LITERALLY we were scraping the bottom of the can to get the last bits out.....My one recommendation is, if you have a really old porous garage like I do, make sure you don't use TOO much epoxy doing the trimming. I probably used a good 10% of the paint just on that.....Also, gauge how much paint you've used when you are 1/3 done with the garage, and then you can pretty much work from there.....Again, 5 stars! Excellent easy to follow kit and I'm ready for my next project.....
Quikrete garage floor coating is a good product and does what it claims to do. To echo just about every other reviewer, one MUST take the time to prep the concrete prior to application. Also, be sure to mix parts "A" and "B" thoroughly and let sit, covered, for thirty (30) minutes prior to application. If you follow the directions and use some common sense, your floor will turn out well. I don't believe some of the horror stories I've read on line. The only way this product will flake off immediately or not cure properly is if you do not mix it thoroughly and/or do not let it sit prior to application.If you've taken the time to prep your concrete and apply the color coat, you should apply a clear top coat to seal in the fleks and add depth and durability to your floor. Then, once the floor has cured, apply a few coats of wax. I use my garage as a combination workshop and library. I do not park our cars in it and have no caustic chemicals to spill on it. The weather here in the San Francisco Bay Area rarely dips below freezing, and my floor is not exposed to direct sunlight. So, it should hold up well. If you are looking for an ultra tough floor with showroom depth, then you're going to have to pay quite a bit more for it. If you have that type of floor done professionally, you're looking at $3,000 easy. It all depends on your needs and what you are willing to spend.
it looks great and was easy.had alittle trouble with distributar but they did get it right.they made up for the trouble
