I do a lot of woodwork, trim, and fabrication in the shop with these bits. At a fraction of the cost of other carbide bits, these are one of my shop "workhorses".The bits are sharp, the guide bearings are smoothe, and the set provides functionality of the most common bits that I use.So smoothe and sharp that I use them in my laminate trimmer rather than my big router. I'm impressed!
Unless you are a highly payed professional woodworker that can afford paying $25 per bit, this is a great set. I have used them for several projects with great results. Unless you can write them off, don't waste your money on the more expensive sets.
This is a neat little set. It has just enough basic router bits to complete any ordinary job. I don't use a router every day, so I don't believe that I need to spend top dollar on something that I use every once in a while. The average woodworker would be very satisfied with this set. I really like the way that the bits in this set are held in place and will not fall out. I gave this a rating of 4 stars because I think that the bits are better than average, but not the finest out there. Great price for what you get though!
I'm new to big routers. I usually use a laminate cutter for small jobs, so I do not have many bits. I bought this set after getting a full size router as a present and they work wonderfully. I'm very pleased with the quality of these reasonably priced bits. I was afraid I would have to spend big bucks to get anything I would be happy with. Not the case this time.
They are my first bits for my first router...so I'm my review isn't exactly based on decades of woodworking experience. The two I've used worked well. One actually broke but that was my own fault (wood moved and it didn't survive the twist). Many of them I'm not sure where I'd use but hopefully that will become apparent as I undertake more projects.
For the price paid these are very nice bits. I have used them and they hold an edge well. I recomend buying them.
