This fan is awesome. My husband mounted it on the ceiling of our workout area, and it does a great job! It's very powerful and really cools off the area. I also appreciate that Air & Water e-mailed me a tracking number, and that I received my fan so quickly. I will definitely order from Air & Water again, and I highly recommend this fan.
Everything I was wanting and expecting. Perfect for my use. Moves great amount of air and pretty quiet too. Use it at the lake cabin on the deck and its perfect.
As Advertized. A Quality made, all metal, heavy duty fan. Works great and pushes a large amount of air.. No noisier then any other fan of this size. For mounting one can use a large lag screw or bolt depending on where or how your are using. Also comes with a safety wire and clips incase the lag screw fails or the mounting frame? I used a large bolt to mount and drilled a couple extra holes for a couple smaller bolts for extra security. Excellent heavy duty chord, 3 speed fan..
I installed this fan in a covered outdoor porch to help circulate the air. It was easy to install, and works great. Ran it for months with no problems. Very heavy duty design.
The first thing you notice is the workmanship of this fan. It's solid and well built. I attached it to a wood beam in my kitchen using the included mount, and then hard wired the cable into an existing recessed light socket so I could use a switch on the wall to turn it on and off. Was a pretty easy setup, although I never had really done this before. It works like a charm, and the cord (although quite thick and strong) was easily cut and wired in. Plugging this into the wall would be just as good, but do realize that it's quite a thick cord and will not be very easy to conceal.The 3 speeds provide exactly what one would need to cool off a room. I am able to pivot the fan in 2 directions because I mounted only the center screw on the mount. It's nice to be able to movie it a bit if need be. The only thing I don't love it the giant logo, but I'm used to it by now.
Great fan. Runs quiet, looks nice and blows a lot of air. I have it mounted on a bracket arm over a tanning booth to cool the tanner. It's perfect.
I originally purchased this fan back in the beginning of January (from WAM Homecenters through Amazon.), but it ended up being backordered for weeks and although I was willing to wait my order was canceled. Then Amazon had it in stock in early Feb. So I ordered it. I researched and have been unable to find a fan to meet my needs, until this one. I am using it to move warmed air near my ceiling towards other living spaces away from the room with my wood stove. When I finally received the [1st] fan (which arrived super-fast with Prime one day shipping), it literally broke taking it out of the box. Ouch. The bracket that is designed to be multi-positional is attached with only rivets sandwiched between a rubber grommet to keep it from just swinging freely. When I saw this and how easily the rivets popped out of their whole, I thought this may be a perpetual design flaw. The other "clue" is the included "safety cable" that is such a hideous afterthought, its ridiculous. You are supposed to loop the safety cable thru the guard and attach it to a secondary mounting point as back up should the first mounting point fail. Yeah, or more like should the bracket fall off due to poor design. A simple fix would be to use small bolts with lock nuts and washers, instead of rivets. Also, the price which dropped already since I first tried ordering it in Dec has now dropped another $6 in two weeks. Hmm, wonder if there are a high number of returns?Oh yeah, almost forgot. The day my first fan arrived and broke coming out of box, I immediately contacted Amazon on the webpage and filled out the return/replacement form and a new one was shipped and received the very next day. As always, amazing service with Amazon! Now the bad part... this one didn't break, literally coming out of box... it didn't look much better the rivets barely mushroom out on the inside. It broke will trying to decide how to place it for final installation. Just a few rotations on the rivets and one side popped. It's sad, to think these companies still cut corners wherever possible to save a buck but in the end, it usually comes back to bite them. This is just one more example of where, something could be great, but because of one crappy decision it fails. After all, not like it's an important item, just what holds the fan to the wall/ceiling as it's advertised to be used for. Oh wait, they get out of being liable of any harm that could from their part failing by including a "safety cable".
I would have liked this a lot better if it had come with the lag screw and washers they want you to use. They sent some cable, apparently they want you to use that some how. Also if you hang it, so the pull switch is hanging the right way the handle is in the way of the bracket. It may be a great fan, but it isn't that easy to install considering how much air it will be moving.
