   Installing this pendant is not a simple DIY task. It has to be assembled completely, including the glass, and than raised up to the ceiling (it is heavy) and attached with a couple of small nuts. Get someone to help supporting this thing while you are installing it.Once installed, there is a danger that the whole thing will came crashing down, should someone decide to rotate the head a few turns. The manufacturer supplied some thread cement in an attempt to keep the stem from coming apart, but I doubt it will be enough.
