I received this product head today and am disappointed to learn that the dual shower heads are made of chromed plastic instead of metal. They feel cheap and fragile, unlike Speakman's other, high quality products, which are made of metal and are clearly of utmost quality.
I am a Starwood Hotel member and always loved the Westin Resort & Hotel double shower head (manufactured by Speakman). It never dawned on me to see how much these shower heads cost for home use in my condo, and I was amazed that Amazon.com had them going for around $100, with a regular retail price of $180.I was also concerned about having inadequate water pressure necessary for a double head shower. Both of my bathrooms had the standard single shower head, and was worried it wouldn't be the same experience at the Westin Hotels. It worked great! And for those that have never used it before at a Westin Hotel, it has multiple settings from standard pressure to "fire-hydrant" powerful pressure. Plus you can mix and match between the two shower heads.Installation was super-easy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you visit your hardware store and purchase "Plumber's Tape" which is a white-colored, silky, plastic that you wrap around the pipe treads. It is dirt-cheap, costing around $3.00 at the very most. As you screw the shower head in, the plastic tape is crushed between the treads to ensure a tight seal against water and pressure leaks. Additionally, it came in handy when my double shower head didn't line up in the vertical position when I tightened it all the way! I panicked for a second, but took it off and added a second layer of plumber's tape and "voila," it lined up perfectly in the vertical position and was super-tight.I know $100+ is a lot of money for a shower head (ugh, and I had to buy two for both bathrooms), but this is a great investment since you will be using it everyday, and is surely motivation to jump out of bed during the work week. In fact, you may find yourself waking up 15 minutes early to take a longer and relaxing shower before you sit in traffic on your way to work (as you can tell, I hate DC traffic).It's OK to spoil yourself... odds are, you deserve it!!!Cheers.-JCH
Bought this showerhead after a recommendation from a friend. It was difficult to justify spending over $100 for a showerhead when I couldn't bring myself to spend $50 for one at Target, but I respected my friend's opinion and took a leap of faith. It is amazing. It turns your usual shower into a refreshing and luxuious experience. It is very easy to install, looks beautiful, and has great pressure for both the stream and pulse settings. It is easy to switch between the settings, switch between one- and two- shower heads, and otherwise rotate/adjust the heads to point in the perfect direction. Very elegant, relaxing, and highly recommended.
After staying in Westin hotels on numerous occasions I finally broke down and paid the high price for the Speakman heavenly shower head. I have wanted one for years, however being the penny pincher that I am, I just could not justify to myself paying over $100 for a shower head. Well I received and installed my heavenly shower head today and it was well worth the money. Installation was quick and easy. At first I was worried that my home shower would not have the same water pressure as the hotels, and thus not feel as good at home. To my surprise and satisfaction the water pressure was great and the shower immersed my whole body in the relaxing warm water.
If it's the little things in life that make us happy then having an awesome shower head is right at the top of the checklist. I first experienced the Speakman Heavenly Shower head while staying at a Westin hotel and was immediately sold. I bought one on Amazon the first chance I had and haven't regreted the decision at all. There are many different spray combinations possible with the two adjustable shower heads. You can set it to a gentle shower or a pulsating massage. You can turn them both on or just use one. You can set one on the pulsating massage and the other to a gentle shower for a nice combination effect. My initial motivation was so that two people could be in the shower at once and both be getting their fair share of water. However, it also makes a one person shower that much better. The more hot water raining down on me in the shower the better. Sometimes I think taking a shower is the best part of the day especially when it's with the Speakman Heavenly Dual Shower Head. My wife likes it too.
Tremendous!! Great shower experience. Easy to install. I first experienced this showerhead in a Westin. My wife recently commented on this showerhead in a recent hotel vist as well. She never seemed to care before but really liked it. Easy adjustment for dual or single, and for pulse versus stream. I really like because feels like whole body get shower spray not just top down. Highly recommend!!
I stayed at an Omni Hotel recently and fell in love with the shower head. Had to have one. Went on a search and found it here. Fabulous. I don't have the first complaint. If you want one like this you need to buy it from Amazon because elsewhere you will pay at least double for it. Especially from the maker of the showerhead. Hope you all buy one and enjoy it as much as I am..
I was almost late for work. I did not want to leave the shower. My bath is better than a hotel bath. Strong pressure that invigorates.
I like this showerhead. It doesn't even feel like it's a water-saving unit. It has a switch to turn off one of the heads which is useful for keeping my hot water running longer.The first one CSN sent me had a defect with a hole in the pipe that sprayed water out of my shower but i fired off a quick email to CSN and they sent a replacement promptly.Great customer service from CSN.
This shower head took all of 10 minutes to install. I initially had the heads parallel to each other, this produced too wide of stream. Once I situated it like the picture here on Amazon, it worked perfect. I'm very happy I made this purchase, a shower will never be the same!
