So far, Good Vacuum overall. Functional and pretty decent suction and a good selection of attachments. I have Two complaints. For nearly a $200 vacuum you would think Bissell would provide a little better hook for the hose and a better bag for the attachments. The small plastic hose hook is cheep and the hose is falling to the floor quite a bit. Maybe a compartmentalized bag for each tool. As it is, you have to dig through the deep but narrow bag to get the attachment you want. Not a huge deal, but for $200 and a "complete mounting system" I guess I was expecting a little more. I decided to upgrade the hose hook and put peg board with small hooks for each attachment. I haven't used it for liquids yet, but have used it for saw-dust, bench debris and cleaning the truck interior and was pleased with the results.
I bought this vacuum cleaner for my woodworking workshop.It works great, picks up all debris. The hose is long enough to reach outside of the garage to clean my vehicles parked in the driveway.The wall mount keeps the unit off the ground and out of the way.The holding compartment is translucent and easy to disassemble.It comes with a variety of attachments, everything and more than most people would need.I have not used this as a wet vac yet.
Very good item. We wear out the parts from so much use. We have two of them. Literally we use it every day to clean 4000 sqaure feet of dog hair. 1 unit per 2000 sq ft.
My husband had this nifty and nice-looking unit mounted and running in about 30 minutes. The installation is simple, straightforward and all parts, other than the tools, are included. The base unit works on a standard three-pong outlet and there is plenty of cord length if you need to mount it away from an outlet. The vacuum itself comes fully-assembled (hose must be plugged in) and ready to run right out of the box. The unit has a mounting assembly for the wall that it hangs on and the accessory/hose mount, which holds the hose and a bag (included) of vacuum heads, goes directly underneath, or to the side, of it. The hose is long, and flexible, and the bottom of the unit comes off for easy emptying. Once mounted on a stud the unit feels solid and secure.Other than the wall-mount, bottom-empty container and sleek design, it works like a regular shop vac. It sucks up both wet and dry spills (though we tried it only on dry applications so far) and does both intake and out (for blowing something out, I guess). We found it had good suction, even when the house was well extended. The unit is loud, but I wasn't expecting anything else, so that wasn't a drawback for me.All in all, it's a handy garage addition and we are happy to have it, but I'm not sure it's an essential tool ... Or worth the double-the-price cost upgrade from a regular shop vac. Function and form-wise this is a five-star product. My only slight quibble would be the price point, which seems fairly steep.
The vacuum was quite easy to install. It has separate holder for the hose that you can attach to the wall nearby and store your hose, and there is a hook on it for the cord. The hose is very long, can stretch comfortably across 2-car garage to work outside. There is a whole bunch of accessories to use with different kinds of work, and it looks like it takes standard accessories from other brands with thinner hose, too. Although the hose is quite flexible, it is made of plastic, not rubber, and it it quite a chore to coil it back for storage. It was easier to detach the hose from the vacuum, and then coil it.I was really happy to see that the on-off button is enclosed in clear rubber housing, so you will not risk a shock from it if your hands are wet.It was very nice to use the vacuum for cleaning my car today without having to lug heavy shopvac, I could easily go around the car with the hose and finished the job in a breeze.
I love this used to be a hassle keeping my car clean inside. A bit pricy at first, but how convenient to have this ready at all time hanging on the wall with the extra long hose to keep your car clean all the time.
I bought this a couple of days ago and was skeptical at first, in fact I didn't even want to hang it up in fear I would make holes in the wall and then have to return it. Man, was I wrong. This thing is AWESOME and it more than exceeded my expectations. My favorite attachment is the turbo roller/brush, it's great for cleaning the seats and carpets in the cars. I would definitely recommend to a friend!
